Beauty Profile w/ Helen Lee of SassyBella.com

Helen Lee finished her degree in journalism before working for lifestyle Magazine in Sydney, Australia as their online editor.

After a few years, Helen went into the agency world, where she honed in her craft, while running SassyBella.com – morphing it from a fashion website into a new type of fashion & beauty blog.

Helen now runs Sassybella.com part-time because she’s taken on the role as web & social media editor for a well-known beauty importer.

In between social media editing and guest blogging for various beauty and fashion online websites, Helen graciously agreed to share with us a few of her beauty secrets.

Anita: What are your favorite beauty products?

Helen: 1. Bobbie Brown’s Hydrating Gel Cream – I use it as a night cream! My skin is left moisturized and hydrated. 2. Bare Minerals Matte Foundation – it’s amazing for a light matte coverage that lasts all day! 3. Lanolips Rose Balm Intense hand cream – is simply amazing, my hands are so soft! 4. Makeup Forever’s Mist – keeps my skin hydrated, especially while traveling. 5. Shisedo’s liquid eyeliner pen – gives great definition!

Anita: What are a few of your beauty tips/secrets?

Helen: I love adding a few drops of Rosehip oil to my body creams for that extra punch of moisture – and I can’t get enough of water, for washing my face and drinking, it’s great for the skin!

Anita: My favorite question: What’s you favorite shade of Red Lipstick?

Helen: It’s Chanel’s Rouge Allure lipstick in Sexy – it goes amazing with my skin tone and its moisturizing! I sometimes alternate with Clinique’s High Impact Lip Colour in Rose Spectrum, which is a beautiful color but isn’t as statement making.

Anita: If you had 5 minutes in the morning to get ready, what beauty products would you use?

Helen: My Nivea light moisturizer with SPF, Bare Minerals matte foundation and Lancomes deficils mascara, a bit of bronzer on my cheeks and done! Quick, easy & fresh!

Anita: Last minute pearls of wisdom?

Helen: Look after your skin! Growing up in Australia we are taught from a very young age to use SPF during the hotter months of the year – because of the damage to the ozone layer above the country. The sun-kissed look is beautiful, but skin cancer and sun damaged decolletage is not!
