Beauty Insider Makeup Tips

Have you ever wondered how some girls manage to look fresh, dewy and flawless? There are several beauty insider tricks to help us achieve the perfect flawless canvas.  Ladies, I can’t stress enough how important healthy skin is.  Healthy clean and clear skin is the first step in makeup application.

1. Cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate – It’s important to have a skincare regimen appropriate for your skin type.

2. Use a Concealer a bit lighter than your skin tone to help balance dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

3. A Great Foundation – the really good ones help mask imperfections on contact. Jane Iredale, beingtrue, Cargo Cosmetics and Koh Gen Do make my favorites.

4. Highlight, Glow, Illuminate – make sure to highlight under your brows, cheek bones, and your temples – I know I look better after a 5 minute face if I highlight.

5. Brows – Fill in your brows, it is the finishing touch for a polished appearance. My favorite Brow pencil is the Brow Power by iTCosmetics, Lorac and Senna Cosmetics make good ones too!

6. Lashes – If you’re not happy with your lashes, use lash enhancing products and for those of us that love mascara my favorites are: Faux Cils by YSL, Lash Activator by Cargo Cosmetics, Mascara by RevitaLash, and  Youngblood Cosmetic’s Mineral Mascara.

7. Cheeks – All skin tones look pretty with a little flush, choose a pink or apricot for a natural fresh look.

8. Lips – Nothing heavy or shiny, keep it pretty and simple.

This is the perfect base for day or evening activities, for a more dramatic look apply your smokey eye or bright lipstick.
