Beauty Cheat Sheet – Fall 2011
How to update and transition from summer beauty to fall without breaking the bank? After looking at all of the fashion magazines and pr material that landed on my desk , I created a simple guide that will help you achieve this seasons beauty essentials with ease.
1. Red Lips – a few of my favorites of the moment are ELLIS FAAS’s Red, a universal red that works with all skin tones. Another favorite is jane iredale’s Lip Fixation in Cherry and Fascination – both gorgeous reds that flatter all skin tones and provide long-lasting wear for up to 8 hours.
2. Loading up on mascara – a new mascara to hit the scene is Benefit’s they’re Real! with a unique brush that enhances lashes you didn’t know you had. Another mascara is Chanel’s Inimitable Intense – the rubber brush will leave your lashes begging for more.
3. Liner – liquid liner plays a big role this season, I recommend visiting the Dior counter for a quick lesson on creating the Dior eye – so very French and oh so pretty! This can be achieved with any liquid eyeliner though, but not without the tutorial.
4. Loose Waves or Twisted Buns – to polished ponytails – you can’t go wrong with bangs or without – using affordable quality haircare is easy peasy with Redken or Pureology.
5. Dark Manicures– all the rage, keep nails short and rounded otherwise your hands will take on a garish masculine quality. Chanel created gorgeous shades in blues and Le Metier De Beaute in luscious reds and bordeaux.
6. Self-Tanner – Spray tans and tans in bottles are still the way to go – I’m loving Kate Somverville 360 and Glam Glow by Omorivicza. If an Organic route is your plan try Nature’s Gate or visit Benefit’s Beauty Bar.
