Beauty Bargain: Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips by Sally Hansen

I’ve seen OPI’s nail patches at Sephora and had wanted to try them (I love the new Glee inspired navy and white polka dot, here), but just never got around to trying them.  So I was pleasantly surprised when these Nail Polish Strips literally jumped in front of me and cried, “Try me!” recently while at the store.   I succumbed and grabbed the rainbow camouflage for my daughter and the butterfly design for myself.

What I like about Sally Hansen’s Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips is that they are free of chemicals like DBP, yet they contain real nail polish (the smell is slight).

The application couldn’t be any easier… Remove the protection strip, peel the backing off and press, file the end of the overlapping strip and presto! No accidental smudges, nicks nor drying time.  Just keep your scissors handy to trim the strips to fit your nail.  They are still tacky if you have to lift them off and reposition them and I expect these to last longer than traditional polish.

Sally Hansen offers a bunch of fun designs and my nails have garnered tons of compliments.   They are a perfect option if you need to get ready in a snap or just want to go the easy route.   Nail strips has spoiled me.  I’m not sure I can ever go back to real polish again!
