Defined & Polished for the 2012 Emmys – Emily VanCamp & Talika
One of the best shows in TV land is Revenge, hands down it is better than Dynasty, in my opinion. I love Emily VanCamp, not only is she a brilliant actress, but her choice of clothes on the set are très chic.
For the 2012 Emmys, Celebrity Makeup Artist Rosie Johnston created an ethereal and youthful look, inspired by a 1920s art-decoy very pale grey dress.
The Steps:
First Rosie Johnston applied Talika’s Instant Beauty as a primer with a foundation brush, all over including the T-Zone. Instant Beauty gave Emily a fresh dewiness while remaining matte, which is hard to find in a beauty product.
Defining eyebrows is important because they frame the face, and Emily has good brows, but they don’t extend out on the end, so out came Talika Eyebrow Extender in Dark Brown to create a nicer form and help her eyebrows look naturally extended out. It was applied straight to darken up the brow, and then applied in the sparser areas. The product was a great base to create a thicker, longer brow and also gave the shadow used to fill them in later something to grip onto.
For Emily’s lashes Talika’s Heated Eyelash Curler was used , which actually makes the curl stay. A light coat of mascara was applied, and while still wet Talika Lash Extender was added for volume and length, topped off with another coat of thicker mascara. Emily’s eyes looked very defined, natural and polished.
“She looked gorgeous walking out the door. Classic, clean, and youthful.” – Rosie Johnston Celebrity Makeup Artist
