Beauty Profile w/ Jacqueline Finnan of iT Cosmetics

Before joining the team at iT Cosmetics Jacqueline Finnan worked in Hollywood as a celebrity, television and print make-up artist. Jacqueline’s passion for iT Cosmetics is based on the companies cutting edge medical grade and anti-aging technology that is developed with leading plastic surgeons in Brazil. For those of us that have not heard of iT Cosmetics, after reading this beauty profile you may want to research their innovative Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer, which has won the prestigious Total Beauty Award for best concealer 2010.

When I was first playing around with the idea of creating my new beauty section: Beauty Profile, Jacqueline immediately agreed and thought it was a great idea. Being the V.P of Public Relations for iT Cosmetics equals a busy schedule, she graciously took the time to share her beauty secrets with us.

Anita: What are your Top 5 Beauty products, and why?

Jacqueline:

1. Bye Bye Under Eye Hydrolyzed Collagen Vitamin C&K Concealer – This is my beauty BBF! Truth be told I actually use this product as my foundation! This heavy-duty but light weight concealer is long wearing and makes my skin look polished and flawless.

2. Brow Power Universal Eye Brow Pencil – great looking eyebrows add prominence and frame your facial features. Having nice brows is the quickest way to make yourself look instantly polished. I love this pencil because it’s the perfect shade and lasts until you take it off.

3. Bye Bye Pores – turns my makeup brush into a magic wand by simply blurring away pores with the stroke of the brush. It’s like airbrushing in a jar!

4. Nail Love Pen – I love that I can give myself a manicure in a minute! In line at the market or even before I head into a meeting! I keep one at my desk, my purse and one in my car.

5. Naturally Pretty Eye Shadow Trios – ( Launching in December) One of the perks of my job is that I have access to our products before they launch. I love this trio! The pigment gives high performance color that lasts all day! I actually carry this with me because I can start with a completely natural look then with the same trio glam up my look for evening.

Anita: These all sound like amazing products!!! I’m getting excited! For our next question: What are your top non iT products?

Jacqueline:

1. Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater by Mario Badescu – I have been a long time fan of this product! It’s the perfect little pick me up to feel refreshed on a hot day in Los Angeles.

2. Russian Amber Imperial Shampoo by Philip b – This product gives me pretty hair! My hair that is long and frizzy drinks this and gets smooth without having to use a smoothing product! The smell is amazing!

3. Almond Coconut Milk Scrub by Laura Mercier – The creamy texture removes dead skin cells from the skin’s surface giving my skin a radiant, polished glow!

4. MoroccanOil* Curl Control Cream – When I want to go curly this is my go to! It changes my frizzy wave into nice smooth loose curls! .

Tonga Blush by Cargo Cosmetics – No matter what my look it’s the perfect shade for my skin. It’s sheer, blendable, and natural looking!

Anita: Now, for the question I’ve been dying to ask – what is your favorite shade of Red Lipstick?

Jacqueline: My favorite shade of Red Lipstick is Burgundy Red.

I am a big fan of Chanel’s Rouge Allure Collection – Lover, Passion and Romantic are wonderful shades. I love the sultry, rich dramatic look!

Anita: If you only had 5 minutes to get ready in the morning what beauty products would you use?

Jacqueline: Since I am a working mother I only take minutes to get my face ready and these are the products I use:

1. Moisturizer with an SPF 2. Brow Power UniversalPencil 3. Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer 4. HD Mascara 5. Dab of Blush 6. Any lip gloss that happens to fall into my hands

7. Throw my hair in a messy bun or cute hat and I am out the door!

Anita: Any last minute words of wisdom?

Jacqueline: The rule of thumb I use for makeup application is that people should notice you and not your makeup!
