Barbara Green of Neostrata has over 50 publications, and an educational background in pharmacy and chemistry, which has led to a dedicated and successful career in the field of dermatology and skincare.

Barbara continues to inspire and motivate with her appearances as a guest speaker at countless dermatology and spa events, interviews and articles featured in trade magazines, dermatology journals, book chapters and scientific posters.

As the Vice President of Technology & Clinical evaluations for Neostrata, she is responsible for the programs that support NeoStrata, Neoceuticals, Exuviance and CoverBlend.

I was thrilled when she found time in her busy schedule to answer a few questions that will help explain the benefits of using Exuviance and age-appropriate skincare. And as usual I had to ask my Red Lipstick question.

Anita: Who’s a candidate for Age Reverse?

Barbara: The Exuviance Age Reverse regimen is for women (and men) who are experiencing their first signs of visible aging – fine lines, laxity or lack of firmness, uneven skin tone and blotchy discoloration.

Anita: What makes age reverse unique?

Barbara: Exuviance Age Reverse was formulated by NeoStrata scientists passionate about skincare using the best, most effective anti-aging ingredients available on the market today. The products are formulated with effective levels of multiple different active-benefit ingredients to target multiple effects in skin. We were very excited and proud to launch this line because we know it works.

Anita: What type’s of multi-tasking does each product offer?

Barbara: Exuviance Age Reverse BioActive Wash delivers gentle exfoliation with a high-strength PHA (polyhydroxy acid) blend – it’s gentle yet effective exfoliation and cleansing in a pleasant-to-use foam. The PHAs also help chelate oxidation promoting metals found in skin and water.

Exuviance Age Reverse Day Repair SPF 20 provides a matrix building effect with NeoGlucosamine™, peptides and retinol, and also helps protect with antioxidants and sunscreens. I love this product!
Exuviance Age Reverse Night Lift provides a lifting and firming effect with a high strength AHA/PHA/Bionic Acid combination plus peptides which help to build collagen and the surrounding support matrix. Chardonnay grape seed extract provides potent antioxidant protection that outperforms Vitamins C and E in oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC), and other berry extracts are included in the formulation as well.
Exuviance Age Reverse Eye Contour is our newest eye cream which works by building the deep skin matrix to smooth wrinkles from within, while also energizing and reducing puffiness (caffeine, ginseng, carrot). The cream also contains optical diffusers to provide an immediate visual smoothing to the crow’s feet area.

Anita: What is your skincare routine?
Barbara: I am diligent about taking care of my skin. I wash my face in the morning and often apply a hydrating serum, always use a day moisturizer with SPF of at least 15 and then layer with light foundation containing additional sunscreen. At night, I wash away all of my makeup and apply a night cream. I love peels and regularly do home peels for an added boost. I am currently using the Exuviance Age Reverse regimen plus the Exuviance Performance Peel AP25, but I’m lucky to have access to all of the products we have in development! So, I switch them in and out all of the time. Right now, we’re working on some new serums, which I love.

Anita: I’m excited about the New Serums, I love serums! – okay for the last question, what is your favorite shade of Red Lipstick?
Barbara: All of the Reds by Mac!
