Olay Pro-X Cleansing System
I’ve heard some seriously good things about the Clarisonic Cleansing System and it’s been on my wish list for some time now…
Unfortunately, I don’t have $200 floating around to buy it (or those yellow sunshine Jeffrey Campbell wedges I’ve had my eye on either… Shoot!).
What’s a girl to do?
Find a bargain, that’s what! Leave it to one of the most trusted drugstore brands to offer us bargain hunters the Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System.
Olay’s Professional Pro-Advance Cleansing System claims to:
- Cleanse skin 6x better vs. basic cleansing
- Help maximize the immediate hydrating effectiveness of your anti-aging moisturizer
- It’s two-speed, rotating system delivers daily deep cleansing and gentle exfoliation
I’ve been using this cleansing system to clean my face for a week now, and truthfully, I’m digging it. It does a great job cleaning my face and getting into the little pores in my face, the bristles on the brush are super soft (which would have been a deal breaker, if they weren’t) and it’s fun to use (probably the equivalent of my kids using an electric toothbrush vs. an old school one). I spend the extra time to really clean my face, at least the two minutes needed recommended by esthetician Jenn Schultz and my face feels clean, clear and soft.
Olay’s cleansing system is smaller than Clarisonic’s, a plus in my opinion because it’s easier to travel with. It does take batteries (no plug-in cord), so invest in some rechargeable batteries and you’re gold. It has two speeds and it’s water-resistant so you can use this in the shower with you. It comes with a small sample size of Olay’s Pro-X Exfoliating Cleanser and a brush head, but watch out for deals. Ulta had the system for $25 and Walgreens was offering the system with the full-sized cleanser for free.
Overall, I’m a happy camper with the Olay Cleansing System. I’ve never used the Clarisonic system, but after reading some reviews from people who own both systems, one lady reviewing Olay’s Pro-X system commented:
I can’t actually say it is better or worse than the Clarisonic, it’s just different. It is like getting a Swedish massage (Olay) as opposed to a deep tissue massage (Clarisonic).
So if you have your heart set on Clarisonic and nothing else will do, go for it. But if you’re looking for something that is gentle, will clean exceptionally well (I might add), and is a super deal… Olay’s Pro-X Cleansing System fits the bill and then some!
