The Splurge vs. Steal – The Touche Eclat vs. Magic Lumi
Illuminators, highlighters and concealers are a dime a dozen but there are few that can compete with the Touch Eclat by Yves Saint Laurent. Recently I’ve developed a hunger for anything new and exciting, anything that held the promise of radiant and luminous skin. Collecting illuminators and highlighters that double as concealers are a huge plus, especially if packaged in gold casing.
Flipping through the pages of my favorite beauty magazines I stumbled upon a sample for Magic Lumi by Loreal, a highlighter that hydrates, moisturizes and diminishes dark shadows. I liked it so much I tore out the coupon and made a beeline for walgreens the very next morning and bought two.
The NewComer
What it is: Magic Lumi Highlighter by Loreal
How it looks/feels: The texture is silky and glides on the skin leaving behind a seamless application.
Cons: It’s only available in one shade, but it is a highlighter and the rule of thumb is to pick a highlighter/illuminator a few shades lighter than your natural skin tone.
Why we love it: The price is right and delivers radiance and luminous skin. $12.95

The Conclusion: No one want’s to be caught in a makeup rut, it’s okay to have more than one highlighter/illuminator in your beauty arsenal. When you use the same items year after year you end up looking the same, it’s good to have options so that your makeup stays fresh and current.
